I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the 1980 edition of APBA that I got off eBay just a couple days ago. Played thousands of games in my youth, but the game and the sets that I had are now long gone. Victims of one of the many moves I made during my twenties and early thirties. I'm a DMB man now, love the game and am currently replaying the 1970 season. Still, the sense of nostalgia was too strong to overcome and I longed to once again handle those beautifully made cards and rattle dice out of that little yellow cup again, if only for the occasional game in between my DMB replay and the two DMB leagues I'm involved with. *sigh*, good times....

A Raider team that knows how to win, I'd forgotten that they ever existed. Thanks for a great replay, and a great website.

Well, the 1967 Cowboys were only a few inches from making the Super Bowl. It's difficult for those of us who grew up with the 1970's edition of the Cowboys to realize the bridesmaid persona of the 1960's Cowboys.

One thing I learned from the 1966 and 1967 replays is Lombardi's Packers were not teams that impressed with their statistics, but rather true championship teams that created and took advantage of other team's mistakes. Intangibles. In 1967, Starr threw nearly twice as many interceptions as touchdowns. But no matter, he was a champion. As I mentioned in the game story though, on this (replayed) day, Green Bay was unable to capitalize on blocked punts and turnovers against the Cowboys. That had been their MO the last two replayed seasons.

Thank you tremendously for your kind words. I probably should provide an explanation for the seasons listed in the poll. A site for a 1968 baseball replay is being developed. I am looking forward to creating (and sharing) what will amount to an online encyclopedia of my replays from 1965 forward.

The seasons listed in the poll were for a possible second simultaneous baseball replay to my current project. 1964 is becoming a runaway favorite so I may be working backward in time also (when I have the time!). Thanks again. Keep following and commenting!

Just wanted you to know that I LOVE what you do by creating this website through your passion for historical simulations!!! LOVE it! The little historical pics are just awesome, coupled with your replays and sports page like re-caps. I am so envious, your project is what I dream of myself. I have no website internet skills, but my passion for simulations and nostalgia are at the same level as you. For the record, I voted on you replaying 1964. I'm currently replaying 1969, and probably going to move right along through the 70's, year by year. I never posted before, but have acquired some more free time recently than I ever imagined. I have visited before in the past year, but never posted till now. Kee up the great work!!!! There are people watching that you might never think were!

Sorry, Kevin. As a Broncos fan, I can't give you much empathy for the current state of affairs in Oakland. Stay tuned. The AFL West will likely come down to the next Raiders-Chiefs game next month.
